The Continuing Ministerial Development Panel in collaboration with King's College London has just launched a project looking at clergy 'Experiences of Ministry'. This is a 5 year process of research and consultation looking at what it is that sustains clergy and enables them to flourish in ministry. It will really hit the ground on the 18th May with an invitation from Dr Mike Clinton at King's to all clergy in the open Crockford's database to participate in an online survey. One of the exciting things about this survey is, thanks to input from members of this network, that it includes questions about growth and a question about how regularly clergy run nurture courses.
It would be great to get as many responses to this survey as possible and for you to complete the survey yourself (if you are ordained in the Church of England) and encourage others to do the same. Mike Clinton and I will be running two days to provide interim feedback to the CMD network and diocesan Mission and Evangelism advisers on the 19th and 20th of September. Please do put one of these dates in your diary. We have yet to confirm venues but will advise you of these at the national conference, through Friday Mailing, and Start the Week. If you would like to provisionally book a place on one of these dates now please do send me an email tim.ling@churchofengland.org.
More details can be found at: www.experiencesofministry.org including a link to complete the survey. If you've any questions please do get in touch with me or Dr Mike Clinton at King's both our contact details are on the webpage.
