Missioners Movements! ( I think this might be a good place to keep us all up to speed with appointments etc in our network)
Our wonderful Janet Russell is on her way from Oxford to become the Director of Mission for the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon starting her new role in June. She says "I am looking forward to the challenges of the role - and to the beautiful countryside (I shall be based in Brecon). I am keen to remain part of the Missioners' network despite moving over the border into God's own land."
David Banbury my great colleague from CPAS has been appointed as the new Missioner for Blackburn Diocese and he says "I am delighted to be heading ‘up North’ to work with Blackburn Diocese. We are moving at the end of August and I start work as Missioner in Sept." I know many of you in the network already know how fabulous it will be to have David as part of the network.
Then we want to welcome Judy Hirst who I'm looking forward to meeting as the new missioner type role in the Diocese of Durham under the title of Advisor for Parish Growth and Development.
Our own Kerry Thorpe is changing from a part-time to a full-time role for the Diocese of Canterbury.
If anyone knows anyone I've forgotten please let me know, there is no central system by which we get to hear the news!
