Churches Together in Barking Riverside New Housing Development
We are seeking a Pioneer Minister ordained or lay who has proven experience of the following:-
- Thinking outside the box - serving people outside church;
- Incarnational – listening to people and entering their culture;
- Educational – making discipleship a priority;
- Ecclesial – forming new ways of being church;
- Ecumenical – able to work collaboratively with other denominations;
- A ministry to All-Ages – experience of working with children and youth an asset.
You will be working with our mission partners from the Salvation Army and Methodist Church.
Phase 1 of the Barking Riverside building project is well underway and the new Church of England School opened in September 2011 and the new residents are now moving on to the estate. You will be part of the Barking Team of St Margaret’s, St Patrick’s and Christ Church. The Team Vicar of Christ Church will be your line manager.
A house will be provided rent free, 3 years of initial funding is secured, and the salary is from £21,600 to 23,390 + expenses, depending on the experience and training of the applicant.
