“Lentwelve – Transforming Mission in 2012” is a teaching and worship resource for small group leaders and clergy designed with Lent and Easter in mind. ‘Lentwelve’ aims to provide inspiration for Lent and Easter 2012 about a God who transforms us in order to transform the world, through small group discussion, mission partner stories and meals with a meaning.
This year it includes mission resources specially designed to connect with primary school age children that can be used during the build up to Easter or at other times in the year to teach the Easter Story in an interactive and dramatic way. The resource uses a prayer labyrinth, dramatic story telling and classroom ideas to present the Easter story. This approach has been successfully piloted in a local church as a way of connecting with primary schools during the season of Easter. There are also resources for a similar prayer labyrinth for adults on the same theme.
These resources will particularly help churches to connect with their local primary schools at Easter time through an interactive experience that will be both a teaching resource for the local school and a tool for local mission.
The resources are FREE and can be downloaded from the CMS website at www.cms-uk.org/lent
