College Lectures At St John’s Nottingham Autumn 2012

College Lectures take place at 11.30am every Wednesday during teaching term, and are part of the learning programme for all students. This term we have some exciting visitors! Do look out for further updates. www.stjohns-nottm.ac.uk

The events are open to local people (or not so local if you are willing to travel!).

Cost: £6 to cover administration. Lunch is extra and must be pre-booked.

Midlands Centre for Youth Ministry Open Days

Interested in ministry training for work with children and young people?

Midlands CYM, based at St John’s College in Nottingham will be holding open days
for anyone interested in training in:

All the days (except the Saturday) will begin at 10am with coffee and pastries. Lunch is provided and we will finish by 3pm. There will be opportunities to experience a sample lecture, get information about MCYM courses and resources, talk to staff and discuss your personal training needs.

Each session will focus on a different aspect of the general road to church growth, but will also give time for your own particular concerns and situation.

A New Ecumenism?

Please find below a media release and a copy of a new booklet written by the Revd Dr Mark Beach, the Dean of Rochester Cathedral, reflecting on his ministry with the REVIVE network of churches in Rugby, Warwickshire.

Part of the reason for writing this account of Revive and its growth, says Dr Beach “... was because I believe that this is a model which can be transferred to other places and that the experience of Christians in Rugby may be helpful to others who want to set off in this direction. It is our prayer, that our experience may be a resource to others and that through this new kind of mission-based ecumenism, the Kingdom of God may help to transform our communities”.
